Odíhg Qāfukēhà was founded durring the early 13th century in winter of the year 1226, by Cawmb Yär 'Ricky Xandy' Cawmb Ya̋mé̄b Béōy Goiē̼ā Cadwaladr. The establishment of Odíhg Qāfukēhà was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Cawmb Yär 'Ricky Xandy' Cawmb Ya̋mé̄b Béōy Goiē̼ā Cadwaladr struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Odíhg Qāfukēhà as a prison colony.
Odíhg Qāfukēhà was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Qāfukēhà is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Odíhg Qāfukēhà is buildings are arranged within a network of broad flagstone streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town has a defencive wall made from large clay bricks. The wall is constructed to the exact specifications of millitary fortifications, but the nature of its clay brick construction leaves it vulnerable to even outdated siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Odíhg Qāfukēhà's brittle defences are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.
A look around Odíhg Qāfukēhà has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Cultural Notes
While Odíhg Qāfukēhà might ostensibly be ruled by some other power, real control lies with the senior members of the local craft and labor guilds. Their decisions have the practical weight of law, and much of their time and effort is spent squeezing out competitors and parceling out economic opportunities in the community. Some guilds might have little or nothing to do with their original trade, and now exist purely as shells for political influence.
Odíhg Qāfukēhà's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by dynamic designs and complex architectural plan forms; intended to heighten feelings of motion and sensuality, and frequently based on the oval. While beloved by the nobility, the common folk tended to despise the style due to the massive consumption of resources required for even a small building constructed in this style.
